Community Involvement
Kildair strives to be a good corporate citizen and recognizes the importance in giving back to the communities where we live and work. At Kildair, we believe that every little action can make a great difference. As a long-standing member of the Joliette and Sorel-Tracy communities, Kildair is proud to offer quality jobs in these areas.
Kildair is also proud to support local initiatives in line with its corporate values. Kildair has been supporting the Lanaudière United Way division for more than 15 years.
Over the last few months, Kildair elected to support financially some local organizations active in our communities. As such, we were happy to support the Claude-Hétu Foundation, helping youths in the Lanaudière region, as well as the Horeb Foundation in St-Jacques de Montcalm, close to Joliette. We also supported the Sorel-Tracy cegep and the « Porte du Passant » in Sorel.
Since 2019, Kildair is also proud to support
Statera, a local Sorel initiative promoting the ecosystem of the Sorel Islands and the St Lawrence River.
Being an active member of the marine industry, Kildair is a member and participates actively in the activities of the
Grunt Club and the
Société des Armateurs du St-Laurent. These local organizations aim to create a social network for individuals in the marine industry while being important actors in monitoring the evolution of the marine sector, whether to support its growth, its sustainability but also monitor its regulatory framework.
In support of the many movements that have recently emerged in connection with violence against women, Kildair donated to : « La maison de la Grande Ourse ». This new organization located near Sorel-Tracy offers a therapy service to women who have been victims of sexual assault or violence. We invite you to go see their website :

Kildair has renewed a partnership with Azimuth Diffusion for the fall 2023 and winter 2024 programming. Azimuth Diffusion is a multidisciplinary presenter and they manage the Marché des Arts Desjardins in Sorel. Their mission is to contribute to the cultural development of the community of the MRC de Pierre-De Saurel.
