Monday, August 23rd saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $3.900, five cents above Friday’s closing price of $3.851. Trending lower to record an intraday low of $3.857 at 11:20AM, bullish weather forecasts are battling the changing of the seasons, as cooling demand will start to wane. Recovering into the afternoon to record an intraday high of $3.948 at 2:20PM, September closed higher on Monday at $3.945.
As of 6:00AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 63 cents; Natural Gas was down one cent; Heating Oil was up two cents; and Gasoline up two cents.
