Friday, December 11th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.599, five cents above Thursday’s closing price $2.553. Trading within three cents of $2.595 for the duration of the session, prices rose to an intraday high of $2.630 at midday and fell to an intraday low of $2.566 at 2:10PM. Continuing the previous day’s storage and weather induced rally, January closed higher on Friday at $2.591, up nearly 1% on the week.
As of 7:15AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 43 cents; Natural Gas was up 12 cents; Heating Oil was up one cent; and Gasoline was up one cent.
