Tuesday, April 2nd saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.719, a penny above Monday’s closing price of $2.708. Recording the intraday high of $2.721 as markets opened, prices were quick to swoop lower and settle in near $2.685 by 10:30AM. Fluctuating along this mark for the balance of the day as traders weighed the impact of Thursday’s impending storage report and upcoming weather, May closed lower on Tuesday at $2.684.
As of 8:25AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was unchanged; Natural Gas was down one cent; Heating Oil was up slightly; and Gasoline was up slightly.
