Tuesday, July 17th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.777, nearly two cents above Monday’s closing price of $2.759. Tallying the intraday high as markets opened, the contract sloped consistently downward to the intraday high of $2.731 by 11:40AM. Lacking any notable demand from recently diminished temperatures, prices moved sideways into the afternoon. With May’s low of $2.711 in sight, August closed lower on Tuesday at $2.740.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 42 cents; Natural Gas was up one cent; Heating Oil was down one cent; and, Gasoline was down one cent.
