Monday, July 16th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.740, a penny below Friday’s closing price of $2.752. Trending upward from the intraday low of $2.735, prices mounted a staggered ascent to reach the intraday high of $2.773 ahead of 11:00AM. Seeking direction from updated weather forecasts as production levels remain steady, August seesawed along $2.765 for the balance of the afternoon to close higher on Monday at $2.759.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 12 cents; Natural Gas was up two cents; Heating Oil was up one cent; and, Gasoline was up one cent.
