Monday, July 9th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.841, nearly two cents below Friday’s closing price of $2.858. Fluctuating within a three-cent range as markets opened, the contract jumped to the intraday high of $2.861 before trending lower into the morning. Marking the intraday low of $2.817 shortly past midday, prices moved sideways into the afternoon as traders weigh below average storage levels and bullish temperatures against healthy production. August closed lower on Monday at $2.828.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 46 cents; Natural Gas was unchanged; Heating Oil was up three cents; and, Gasoline was up two cents.
