Monday, August 20th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.921, nearly three cents below Friday’s closing price of $2.946. Mimicking Friday’s opening, prices fell to the intraday low of $2.919 early yesterday morning before ascending to the intraday high of $2.951 at 10:30AM. Finding support in the form of hot temperatures that are forecasted to return by this weekend, September stabilized near $2.945 into the afternoon to close slightly lower on Monday at $2.941.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up $1.53; Natural Gas was up three cents; Heating Oil was up two cents; and, Gasoline was up one cent.
