Monday, August 9th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $4.083, two cents below Friday’s closing price of $4.140. Ascending to an intraday high of $4.094 by 9:20AM, the contract then fell to an intraday low of $4.002 ninety minutes later. Recovering into the afternoon as temperatures and demand remain elevated, September closed lower on Monday at $4.060.
As of 8:05AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up $1.15; Natural Gas was up one cent; Heating Oil was up two cents; and Gasoline was up three cents.
