Wednesday, August 18th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $3.865, four cents below Tuesday’s closing price of $3.826. The price dropped sharply in the first hour of trading to the intraday low of $3.789 then immediately bounced back to what would be the intraday high of $3.869 at 11:00am. The price slowly fell for the remainder of the day. September closed lower on Wednesday at $3.852.
As of 10:15AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down $1.27; Natural Gas was down 8 cents; Heating Oil was down 5 cents; and Gasoline down 6 cents.
