Tuesday, August 20th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.210, even with Monday’s closing price. Extending to an intraday high of $2.231 out of the gate, prices then fell in the subsequent thirty minutes to reach an intraday low of $2.192. Returning to the $2.215 level by 10:30AM, markets were quiet for the balance of the session, as market fundamentals remain largely unchanged. September closed higher on Tuesday at $2.218.
As of 8:50AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 53 cents; Natural Gas was down one cent; Heating Oil was up one cent; and Gasoline was up three cents.
