November NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts Closed at $3.267 on Monday, October 8th

Monday, October 8th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $3.249, more than ten cents above Friday’s closing price of $3.143.  Jumping higher in pre-market trading, prices continued to the highest intraday high, $3.294, seen since last January by 10:00AM.  Assessing the impact that Hurricane Michael will have on production as the storm draws near the Gulf Coast, the contract posted a staggered descent throughout the day to close higher on Monday at $3.267.

This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 42 cents; Natural Gas was up six cents; Heating Oil was up one cent; and, Gasoline was down one cent.
