Friday, October 19th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $3.172, more than two cents below Thursday’s closing price of $3.198. Launching from the intraday low as markets opened, prices rose as high as $3.248 by 9:50AM. Seesawing within a two-cent range through mid-afternoon, the contract pushed higher once again at 2:20PM to record the intraday high of $3.258. Coaxed upward by the contract’s recently diminished value, November closed higher on Friday at $3.250.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 33 cents; Natural Gas was down seven cents; Heating Oil was up slightly; and, Gasoline was down two cents.
