Monday, October 22nd saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $3.171, eight cents below Friday’s closing price of $3.250. Coming down from last week’s gains, weather forecasts have turned milder than the previously expected below average temperatures. Seesawing along $3.160 through the balance of the morning, a fleeting spike to the intraday high of $3.179 at 12:20PM gave way to selling as the contract slid to the intraday low of $3.132 by 2:00PM. November closed lower on Monday at $3.138.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down $1.21 cents; Natural Gas was up two cents; Heating Oil was down three cents; and, Gasoline was down three cents.
