Monday, October 10th saw the November NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $6.717, three cents below Friday’s closing price of $6.748. Reaching an intraday high of $6.901 ahead of 9:30AM, expectations for cooling demand were tempered over the weekend and another large injection is expected this week. Trending lower to cross midday at $6.750, prices fell to an intraday low of $6.411 ahead of 2:30PM, as November closed lower on Monday at $6.435.
As of 7:35AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down $2.25 cents; Natural Gas was up five cents; Heating Oil was down 17 cents; and Gasoline was down three cents.
