November NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $2.795 on Monday, September 28th

Monday, September 28th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.076, six cents below Friday’s closing price of $2.139.  Trading within a 15-cent range throughout the day, touching an intraday high of $2.176 ahead of 2:00PM and an intraday low of $2.020 twenty minutes later.  The October contract settled lower on Monday at $2.101.

Set to take the prompt-month position this morning, November contract opened at $2.740, nearly seven cents below Friday’s closing price of $2.807.  Ascending from an intraday low of $2.706 at 9:30AM, prices rose to tally and intraday high of $2.812 by 11:00AM.  The November contract finished lower on Monday at $2.795.

As of 8:30AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 21 cents; Natural Gas was down seven cents; Heating Oil was up slightly; and Gasoline was down slightly.
