Monday, April 26th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.709, two cents below Friday’s closing price of $2.730. Falling to an intraday low of $2.700 by 9:20AM, prices rose steadily through the morning to reach $2.756 by midday and an intraday high of $2.794 ahead of closing. May closed higher on Monday at $2.790. The more actively traded June contract opened at $2.784 and formed a similar pattern throughout the day, closing higher as well at $2.877.
As of 7:00AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 46 cents; Natural Gas was up one cent; Heating Oil was up two cents; and Gasoline was up one cent.
