June NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $2.966 on Monday, May 3rd

Monday, May 3rd saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.908, two cents below Friday’s closing price of $2.931.  Marking the intraday low of $2.902 soon after the opening bell, prices rose to an intraday high of $2.974 at 10:10AM.  Trading along either side of $2.950 throughout the balance of the session, as traders assess the most recent weather forecasts, June closed higher on Monday at $2.966.

As of 6:45AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up $1.17; Natural Gas was down two cents; Heating Oil was up four cents; and Gasoline was up five cents
