June NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at

Monday, May 13th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.611, slightly below Friday’s closing price of $2.619.  Ascending confidently out of the gate yesterday morning, prices rose to a one-month intraday high of $2.653 by 9:40AM as bullish traders took advantage of unseasonably cool temperatures.  Withdrawing to trade along $2.625 for the balance of the day, June closed nearly flat on Monday at $2.621.

As of 8:50 EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 55 cents; Natural Gas was up four cents; Heating Oil was up one cent; and Gasoline was up two cents.
