July NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $1.637 on Tuesday, June 23rd

Tuesday, June 23rd saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $1.644, two cents below Monday’s closing price of $1.664.  Trading downward to an intraday low of $1.614 by 10:10AM, prices churned slowly higher to cross midday at $1.645.  Trading within a narrow band for the rest of the afternoon, July closed lower on Tuesday at $1.637.

As of 8:20AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 86 cents; Natural Gas was up one cent; Heating Oil was down one cent; and Gasoline was down three cents.
