Friday, May 4th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.723, just below Thursday’s closing price of $2.726. Climbing to the intraday high of $2.741 out of the gate, prices soon tumbled downward to mark the intraday low of $2.702 by 10:50AM. With little change to short-term weather expectations and the late start of the storage-rebuilding season, the contract remained relatively flat into the afternoon before closing lower on Friday at $2.711.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 91 cents; Natural Gas was up two cents; Heating Oil was up two cents; and, Gasoline was up two cents.
