Monday, March 12th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.781, five cents above Friday’s closing price of $2.732. Buoyed by below average temperatures ranging from the southeast to the mid-Atlantic and the impending Nor’easter, prices rose through the day’s opening until reaching the intraday high of $2.804 at 10:00AM. Trading along the $2.80 mark through midday, the contract fell to the intraday low of $2.776 ahead of 2:30PM as April closed lower higher on Monday at $2.778.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 42 cents; Natural Gas was up two cents; Heating Oil was down one cent; and, Gasoline was down two cents.
