Monday, April 4th saw the May NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at of $5.791, seven cents above Friday’s closing price of $5.720. Seeking direction early on, prices fell to $5.718 by 9:15AM and notched an intraday high of $5.857 forty-five minutes later. Tallying the intraday low of $5.680 at 11:00AM, the contract proceeded to trade along the $5.77 level for the majority of the afternoon as forecasts remain mild and production remains steady. May closed lower on Monday at $5.712.
As of 6:30AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up $1.33; Natural Gas was up 14 cents; Heating Oil was up slightly; and Gasoline up four cents.
