Tuesday, June 16th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $1.643, nearly three cents below Monday’s closing price of $1.669. Marking the intraday high as markets opened, prices fell to an intraday low of $1.597 by 9:30AM. Trading within a tight band near $1.615 for the balance of the session, steady production and tepid demand have directed the contract downward. The July contract finished lower on Tuesday at $1.614.
As of 8:50AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 40 cents; Natural Gas was flat; Heating Oil was down slightly; and Gasoline was down one cent.
