Friday, December 13th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.278, five cents below Thursday’s closing price of $2.328. Climbing from an intraday low of $2.276 as markets opened, prices rose steadily to the intraday high of $2.322 at 10:10AM. The contract then fell to trade along either side of $2.295 for the balance of the day, as traders feared another weekend sell off. January closed lower on Friday at $2.296.
As of 8:50AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 15 cents; Natural Gas was up three cents; Heating Oil was up two cents; and Gasoline was up one cent.
