Monday, October 14th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.286, seven cents above Friday’s closing price of $2.214. Ascending to an intraday high of $2.313 by 9:10AM, prices withdrew sharply into the morning as uncertain forecasts continue to keep traders waiting for the start of winter demand. Touching down to an intraday low of $2.228 at 11:20AM, the contract posted a steady recovery into the afternoon to stabilize near $2.285 ahead of 1:30PM. November closed higher on Monday at $2.280.
As of 8:30AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 15 cents; Natural Gas was up one cent; Heating Oil was up one cent; and Gasoline was up slightly.
