Monday, April 1st saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.686, roughly two cents above Friday’s closing price of $2.662. After bottoming out at a five-week low on Friday, prices moved higher out of the gate yesterday morning as market conditions were oversold. Ascending steadily to an intraday high of $2.733 at 11:30AM, the contract lost momentum as the day drew on as May closed higher on Monday at $2.708.
As of 8:30AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 25 cents; Natural Gas was up one cent; Heating Oil was up slightly; and Gasoline was up slightly.
