Tuesday, July 31st saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.811, slightly above Friday’s closing price $2.797. Stepping higher as markets opened, the weather-induced rally drove prices to the intraday high of $2.831 by 9:20AM. Sloping gradually lower as bearish traders proceeded to lean on healthy production levels, the contract crossed midday near $2.810 and fell to the intraday low of $2.777 ahead of 2:30PM. September closed lower on Tuesday at $2.782.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down $1.05; Natural Gas was down two cents; Heating Oil was down four cents; and, Gasoline was down three cents.
