Friday, September 21st saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.958, two cents below Thursday’s closing price of $2.976. Building upon Thursday’s rally, which was in part due to short covering after the EIA storage was largely in line with expectations, prices rose to the intraday high of $2.989 by 9:30AM on Friday morning. Seesawing along $2.975 for the balance of the day, October closed nearly flat on Friday at $2.977.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up $1.01; Natural Gas was up three cents; Heating Oil was up four cents; and, Gasoline was up three cents.
