Friday, August 28th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.694, nearly two cents below Thursday’s closing price of $2.710. After initially trending lower to reach $2.639 at 10:30AM, prices rose in the following hour to reach an intraday high of $2.698. Descending to reach and an intraday low of $2.621 at 1:40PM, natural gas infrastructure seems to have been spared by hurricane Laura last week. The October contract closed lower on Friday at $2.657.
As of 7:05AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 40 cents; Natural Gas was down one cent; Heating Oil was up one cent; and Gasoline was up one cent.
