Friday, September 13th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.573, nearly even to Thursday’s closing price of $2.574. Ascending to $2.594 at 9:30AM only to fall to an intraday low of $2.553 at 10:10AM, prices stabilized along $2.570 through midday and into the afternoon. Mounting a confident ascent shortly after 1:00PM, the contract rose to an intraday high of $2.622 at 1:30PM. October closed higher on the Friday at $2.614, up nearly 5% on the week.
As of 8:55AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up $5.90; Natural Gas was up six cents; Heating Oil was up 65 cents; and Gasoline was up 15 cents.
