Monday, October 1st saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $3.064, nearly six cents above Friday’s closing price of $3.008. Marking the intraday low of $3.052 by 9:10AM, the contract then mounted a steady ascent in response to updated weather forecasts. Surpassing $3.090 ahead of midday, prices rose to the highest intraday mark since last January ($3.114) later in the afternoon. November closed higher on Monday at $3.094.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 15 cents; Natural Gas was up two cents; Heating Oil was down slightly; and, Gasoline was down slightly.
