Monday, April 16th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.764, three cents above Friday’s closing price of $2.735. Rising confidently in pre-market trading and continuing upward to the intraday high of $2.779 by 10:10AM, traders were emboldened by expectations for another withdrawal from inventory for the week ended April 13th. Treading cautiously lower into the afternoon, May closed higher on Monday at $2.752.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 33 cents; Natural Gas was down two cents; Heating Oil was down one cent; and, Gasoline was down one cent.
