Tuesday, April 10th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.668, roughly two cents below Monday’s closing price of $2.693. Tumbling to the intraday low of $2.643 soon after markets opened, the contract soon recovered, but only to plot a gradually downward course over the balance of the day. Despite below-average temperatures hanging around in the northeast and northern tier of the country, May closed lower on Tuesday at $2.656.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 58 cents; Natural Gas was down two cents; Heating Oil was up one cent; and, Gasoline was unchanged.
