Monday, April 5th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.558, eight cents below Thursday’s closing price of $2.639. Ascending to an intraday high of $2.580 by 9:20AM, prices then began a steady descent to reach an intraday low of $2.488 at 11:00AM. Trading along either side of the $2.500 level for the rest of the session, May closed lower on Monday at $2.511 as mild temperatures have limited demand.
As of 6:10AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up $1.31; Natural Gas was up four cents; Heating Oil was up three cents; and Gasoline was up three cents.
