March NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts Closed at $2.662 on Tuesday, February 5th

Tuesday, February 5th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.698, roughly four cents above Monday’s closing price of $2.660.  Seesawing within a few cents of the $2.680 level over the balance of the day, as markets are likely oversold, traders are waiting for the next triggering event as fears surrounding below average storage this winter has now vanished.  Marking the intraday high of $2.708 at 11:30AM and the intraday low of $2.655 at 1:40PM, March closed nearly flat on Tuesday at $2.662.

This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 16 cents; Natural Gas was up three cents; Heating Oil was down one cent; and Gasoline was down one cent.
