Friday, February 23rd saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.579, five cents below Thursday’s closing price of $2.634. Slipping to notch the intraday low of $2.576 by 9:40AM, prices then mounted a steady ascent to span the majority of the day. Surpassing $2.590 by midday and marking the intraday high of $2.632 at 1:30PM, March closed slightly lower on Friday at $2.625. The more heavily traded April contract closed nearly two cents lower at $2.657.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 19 cents; Natural Gas was up three cents; Heating Oil was up slightly; and, Gasoline was up slightly.
