March NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $4.431 on Friday, February 18th

Friday, February 18th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at of $4.641, five cents below Thursday’s closing price of $4.486. Reaching an intraday high of $4.654 soon after the opening bell, the contract posted a staggered downward ahead of a long mild weekend. Crossing midday near $4.560, prices tumbled to an intraday low of $4.410 at 2:10PM. March closed lower on Friday at $4.431, up 12% on the week.

The NYMEX trading floor was closed on Monday, February 21, 2022, in observance of President’s Day.

As of 7:00AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up $3.18; Natural Gas was up 17 cents; Heating Oil was up 10 cents; and Gasoline was up 10 cents.
