Tuesday, May 22nd saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.850, four cents above Monday’s closing price of $2.810. Launching from the intraday low of $2.842 soon after markets opened, updated short-term weather forecasts sparked bullish sentiment as prices rose steadily into the morning. Reaching $2.895 by midday, the contract rose to a near four-month intraday high of $2.917 by 2:20PM as June closed higher on Tuesday at $2.908.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 31 cents; Natural Gas was unchanged; Heating Oil was down slightly; and, Gasoline was down two cents.
