Wednesday May 9th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.748, two cents above Tuesday’s closing price of $2.732. Taking a dip early on, the contract hit the intraday low of $2.725 around 9:10AM. Recovering all the morning’s losses over the next hour prices reached to intraday high of $2.754 before the 10 o’clock hour. A slight slip in the market gave way to a quiet afternoon where the contract traded sideways for the balance of the day to close lower on Wednesday at $2.737.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 37 cents; Natural Gas was down one cent; Heating Oil was up slightly; and, Gasoline was up one cent.
