Monday, May 8th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.211, seven cents above Friday’s closing price of $2.137. Riding Friday’s wave of momentum, prices briefly dipped to the intraday low of $2.179 at 10:00AM. Ascending to the intraday high of $2.247 at 11:25AM, production concerns and mild cooling demand provided support. June closed higher on Monday at $2.238.
As of 7:15AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 82 cents; Natural Gas was down five cents; Heating Oil was down two cents; and Gasoline was down three cents.
