Friday, June 1st saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.950, nearly flat to Thursday’s closing price of $2.952. Climbing to the intraday high of $2.968 ahead of 10:00AM, the contract marked the intraday low of $2.938 ninety minutes later. Weighing the effects of steady production against wavering demand, prices stepped gradually higher into the afternoon as July closed higher on Friday at $2.962.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 17 cents; Natural Gas was up one cent; Heating Oil was down one cent; and, Gasoline was down two cents.
