Monday, June 27th saw the July NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $6.182, four cents below Friday’s closing price of $ $6.220. trailing downward to a near three-month intraday low of $6.030 ahead of 9:30AM, the contract fought to recover from the previous week’s selloff. Crossing midday at $6.278, the contract rose to the intraday high of $6.516 at 2:25PM. July closed higher on Monday at $6.501.
The more actively traded August contract blazed a similar trail, closing twenty-six higher at $6.546.
As of 7:20AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up $1.69; Natural Gas was down five cents; Heating Oil was down one cent; and Gasoline was up five cents.
