Monday, June 14th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $3.301, just above Friday’s closing price of $3.296. Falling to an intraday low of $3.273 by 10:00AM, the contract crossed midday near $3.302 before climbing aggressively into the afternoon. An increase in cooling demand, along with TETCO pipeline concerns continue to fuel this latest rally. Marking a near eight-month intraday high of $3.356 ahead of 2:30PM, July closed higher on Monday at $3.352.
As of 6:55AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 56 cents; Natural Gas was unchanged; Heating Oil was up one cent; and Gasoline was up one cent.
