Friday, June 14th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.339, a penny above Thursday’s closing price of $2.325. Rising from the intraday low of $2.334 soon after the opening bell, prices then gained traction on hopes of increased demand toward the last week of the month. Climbing to the intraday high of $2.399 at 11:20AM, the contract traded sideways along $2.390 for the balance of the day as July closed higher on Friday at $2.387.
As of 8:55AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 28 cents; Natural Gas was down one cent; Heating Oil was down two cents; and Gasoline was down one cent.
