July NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $2.308 on Tuesday, June 25th

Tuesday, June 25th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.284, two cents below Monday’s closing price of $2.303.  Lacking support early on following the previous session’s weather induced ascent, as early July demand forecasts improved, prices fell to an intraday low of $2.255 by 10:00AM.  Recovering into the afternoon, the contract tallied an intraday high of $2.315 at 1:00PM, to close slightly higher at $2.308 ahead of today’s settlement.  In position to take over the front month, the more heavily traded August contract finished nearly unchanged at $2.286.

As of 8:45AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up $1.11; Natural Gas was down one cent; Heating Oil was up three cents; and Gasoline was up five cents.
