Monday, December 6th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $3.752, thirty-eight cents below Friday’s closing price of $4.132. As warmer-than-average weather continues to plague much of the U.S., prices continue their steep decline. Marking the intraday high of $3.754 soon after the opening bell, the contract moved lower throughout the day to tally a near-five month intraday low of $3.630 at 2:20PM. January closed lower on Monday at $3.657.
As of 6:50AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up $2.27; Natural Gas was up eight cents; Heating Oil was up five cents; and Gasoline was up six cents.
