Tuesday, December 8th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.434, three cents above Monday’s closing price $2.406. Trading within three cents of $2.435 through the morning hours, prices rose to an intraday high of $2.458 at midday. The contract then trended lower as bearish forecasts are tracking towards one of the warmest Decembers on record. Recording an intraday low of $2.368 at 1:30PM, the January contract closed lower on Tuesday at $2.399.
As of 6:55AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 15 cents; Natural Gas was up eight cents; Heating Oil was down slightly; and Gasoline was up one cent.
