Tuesday, January 26th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.649, nearly five cents above Monday’s closing price of $2.602. Trading along the $2.635 level throughout the day, February closed $2.656. The more actively traded March contract opened at $2.627, three cents above Monday’s closing price of $2.598, spent the session trading near $2.610 as cold temperatures have helped to stabilize. The March contract closed $2.636.
As of 7:00AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up five cents; Natural Gas was up six cents; Heating Oil was up slightly; and Gasoline was down one cent.
