Monday, November 5th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $3.536, twenty-five cents above Friday’s closing price of $3.284. Surging overnight in anticipation of below average temperatures in the coming weeks, the contract floated along either side of $3.530 throughout the morning before dropping to the intraday low of $3.491 at 12:10PM. Strengthening as the afternoon drew on, December marked a ten-month intraday high of $3.576 before closing higher on Monday at $3.567.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 13 cents; Natural Gas was down two cents; Heating Oil was up two cents; and Gasoline was unchanged.
